Our Story


ReachLocal India was set up to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of ReachLocal Inc. with the sole purpose of solving business process scaling issues. We didn’t look behind and our only focus was to attain the iconic portfolio of those who never compromise on less than the best. Today, we are the ONLY service center of excellence which supports ReachLocal globally in all the markets where its footprint exists. Our services operations form the backbone of the sales teams across 5 continents giving them the confidence of turnaround times and quality assurance. With our constant efforts to keep pushing ourselves to do more and a keen desire to provide the best value to our advertisers, the team grew from less than 10 people in 2006 to 550+ employees by end of 2021.

The major part of our backend service operations includes campaign design and build and campaign lifecycle management processes that support NA, ANZ & UK Markets. In addition to these, we also support all ReachLocal Products namely ReachSearch, ReachSEO, ReachDisplay, ReachEdge, ReachSocial Ads, and ReachListings. Our Product, Technology, and Business Analytics teams not only support the teams in India but also provide services to all our global teams.

In August 2016, ReachLocal was acquired by Gannett Co. Inc. (NYSE: GCI), a USA Today Network company. With this merger, ReachLocal India also becomes a part of USA Today Network Company. Over the years, ReachLocal India has become an integral part of global services operations for ReachLocal and has become the go-to destination for anyone looking for a career in digital marketing in Mumbai, India. At ReachLocal India, our goal is to continually invest in our teams and provide broader support to all other ReachLocal entities.

With our second quarter of 2019 financial results, we announced an agreement under which New Media will acquire Gannett. Following the closure of the transaction, both New Media and its operating subsidiary “GateHouse” will be rebranded and will operate under the “Gannett” brand. The combined company will be headquartered in McLean, Va., with a continued corporate presence in existing locations.

With the merger of ReachLocal, SweetIQ, and WordStream, we have innovation and made Gannett a leader in providing advertising and marketing solutions. With the addition of New Media’s UpCurve and GatehouseLive, this transaction will position our company as the trusted digital marketing partner to local and national businesses. 2009 - 2010

★ ReachLocal acquires Imperial Software. ★ Adds Product & Technology support & display campaign provisioning functions in India.

2011 - 2012

★ Delivery center set up in Andheri – East, Mumbai. ★ Expanded services for campaign design & build for entire NA, ANZ, UK & DE markets. ★ Started US Campaign Optimization.

2013 - 2014

★ The delivery center moved to Goregaon (East), Mumbai. ★ New support teams added for SEO, Analytics, Operational Quality & Campaign Life-cycle Management. ★ Started supporting JP & BRZ markets.

2015 - 2016

★ Gannett acquires ReachLocal. ★ Publisher Operations & Application Support functions added. ★ Extended support for ReachListng & ReachEdge Products. ★ Also added ANZ SEO & DE Campaign Lifecycle Management to the services.

2017 - 2019

★ New support teams added for Gannett campaigns. ★ Extended support for Facebook Product for NA & ANZ markets. ★ Expanded SEO team to migrate campaigns in-house from the external vendor. ★ 350+ Employees & we continue to grow!
